A common question from our clients is, “Do you have suggestions on venue?” It’s not always an easy decision. After all, you’re going to keep and pass on these photos to future generations! So, here are a few ideas and our thoughts on venues where we can shoot your family portraits in!
YOUR FAMILY HOME
Our top and usually first recommendation is your house! There are quite a few advantages to having your shoot at home. First, nothing beats the comfort of your home. One of our top priorities, will always be your comfort. So, if you’ve got a nice spot in your home for a portrait session, then, we’d love to come over your place to do it. If you’re not sure, you can always send us a few snaps to help you decide. Second, you’ve got access to your whole wardrobe! No worrying if you’ve left something behind or if messy accidents happen, you can easily change. Third, we believe having your photos at home, especially if it’s the house you grew up in, raises up the nostalgia level! You won’t regret it!
AMIDST NATURE
It’s always a beautiful feeling, being in nature, be it a park or a garden. Rays of sunshine through the canopy of trees and the coolness of bushes, give your photo a feeling of freshness. If you live in a condominium, perhaps your building has a nice garden or pool area? The best months for this kind of venue is December to February, as these are the colder, windier months in the Philippines.
Locations: Bonifacio High Street, Showa Kinen Park (Tokyo, Japan)
SPACIOUS HOTELS
Why not make it a family staycation and have your portraits in a hotel? This would be a great treat too, if you’ve got a celebration coming up as well! Be sure to inquire with the hotel for any permits you might need if you’re planning on shooting outside of your room.
Locations: Seda Hotel Vertis North, Okada Hotel
As with all our shoots, we’d love to discuss your shoot with you. Don’t be limited to the venues mentioned here. If you have other ideas, we’re always open to those!
